0.6.1 (3 November 2026)
- Officers (order 2) shows the officers in the province selected on the map, not every officer you have.
- Travel to any province you hold, not only a neighbour. The journey takes a month for every two borders crossed on the shortest way; on the road an officer is in no province and takes no orders, and the Review shows where he is going and when he arrives. If the destination is lost on the way he goes to the nearest province you still hold. The computer houses travel by the same rules.
- Online games are now called Multi-player games (7 on the browser edition's title screen).
- Saves are format 8; older saves load.
0.6.0 (3 November 2026)
- Online games in the browser edition: player names, invite codes, a time limit for each month (12 to 72 hours), the computer giving the orders of anyone who misses it, and emails.
- One player per computer: hotseat is gone, and a new game goes from the scenario straight to choosing your house. Campaigns saved with several players still open.
- Fixes: a military access treaty now opens every province (it stopped at province 24); Ransom and Exchange list only your officers held captive.
- The browser edition (https://games.theiguru.au/brokenseal/play/), first put up with 0.5.0 on the same day.
0.5.0 (3 November 2026)
- Hex battles: fight your armies' battles yourself on a 15 x 11 hex field drawn from the province: hills, forest, marsh, rocks, rivers and fords, and a walled town with a gate where the forts are strong. Each army splits into infantry, archers and cavalry, and each unit gets one order a turn. Or leave it to the commanders; Settings can make either the rule.
0.4.6 (2 November 2026)
- A province your army takes is held, but it is not yours until you name a governor, usually the army's commander.
- End month is the last order, 9; Campaign is 8.
0.4.5
- New recruits join untrained, and men who join a garrison share its training. Outlaw camps have their own training.
0.4.4
- One governance order per province a month; stamina; the town (recruiting, the market, the inn); winter snow; news of the month as it ends; background music.
0.4.0 to 0.4.3
- The retro look: a 640 x 400, 16-colour screen, portraits for every officer, a new 32-province map for every campaign, three scenarios, five computer levels and map views. Fixes in 0.4.1 to 0.4.3.
0.3.0 and earlier
- 0.3.0: the Windows edition; gold kept in each province; shipments; war chests.
- 0.2.0: the first desktop edition.
