Put your own screens in the ''text'' folder of the server (''TextDir'' in ''lordsrv.ini''):

''.ans'' is for ANSI terminals, ''.asc'' for plain text; the server picks the one that suits the caller. A SAUCE record at the end of an ANSI file (after the Ctrl-Z) is not sent.

Telnet callers are asked whether their terminal shows colour if the server can't tell. Rlogin callers are taken to have ANSI.

The game's own screens (the town, the forest, the Inn) are LORD's: ''LORDTXT.DAT'' and ''lordtxt.lrd'' in each game folder. See [[lordfp:data_files]].
