The console
The console is the server's control screen. It is the server's own window when it runs as a program, and attaches to the server when it runs as a service (see running).

* The **top line** shows the server's name, its ports, how long it has been up, how many are connected out of the most allowed, and whether it is a service.
* The **connections**: number, name, telnet or rlogin, address, game and node, what they are doing, and since when.
* The **log**, newest at the bottom. PgUp and PgDn scroll it.
* The **command line** at the bottom. Up and Down recall earlier commands.
Everything updates every second.
Commands
^ Command ^ What it does ^
| help | The commands. |
| who | Who is connected (# is the connection number). |
| %%kick <#|all>%% | Disconnect someone, or everyone. Their game saves them first. |
| games | The games: letter, name, folder, nodes, minutes, and whether closed. |
| users | The accounts. Type: T telnet, R rlogin, S sysop, D disabled. |
| sysop | Make an account a sysop. unsysop undoes it. |
| disable | Stop an account logging in. enable undoes it. |
| passwd | Set a password. An rlogin account becomes a telnet one. |
| adduser | Make a telnet account (passwords are 4 characters or more). |
| deluser | Delete an account. Its LORD characters stay in the games. |
| bbs | The BBSes with keys (see linking_a_bbs). |
| bbs add | Give a BBS a key yourself. The key is shown once. |
| bbs newkey | A new key for a BBS; the old one stops working at once. |
| bbs disable , bbs enable | Stop or allow a BBS's players. |
| bbs remove | Delete a BBS. Its players' accounts are kept. |
| config | Set up a game: lordcfg in a new window (see games). |
| dos | A DOS prompt (DOSBox-X) in the game folder, for installing IGMs (see igms). |
| reset | Start a game again (see games). |
| settings | The server's settings on a form (see settings). |
| %%service [install|remove]%% | Whether the server is a Windows service; install or remove it. |
| restart | Restart the server, reading lordsrv.ini again. Players are disconnected and saved first. |
| shutdown | Stop the server. |
| quit | Leave the console. In the server's own window this stops the server; attached to a service it doesn't. |
| cls | Clear the log pane. |
config and dos open their windows on the desktop where the console is, also when the console is attached to a service.
Names with spaces
Account names can have spaces: disable Mary Jane works. For passwd and adduser, the password is the last word and the name is everything before it.
